Beautiful stoneware yelloware pitcher measuring 6" from top of handle to base, featuring a bulbous shape and all over grapes and leaf decoration, designed with a pinch nose spout, applied handle and flat bottom and is marked with the number 183 on its bottom.  There is a smal chip on the spout and a few other marks that favor a knife blade that one can tell was made during production. In my research most all I find indicate the maker to be UHL.  There is a one inch or so along the base that at first I thought was chipped but after a closer look, It looks more as though the area is a production mishap I cannot be sure of this it is only my opion. At the end of the day, I deem the piece as unique and in very good condition.
